Mountings:  All original Shin-gunto mount. The scabbard is in mint condition with leather covered. The leather needs to sewing back since the string is cut. The bottom of the leather showed a little burning and this sword might be saved by G.I. when it was ordered to destroy. The Ito on the handle is cut in the middle of the handle so I use the plastic warp to hold it together. This might be Shin-shinto sword since the file mark is less visible and the tang is a little dark than the average WWII sword. 
Overall Condition:  Excellence original polish . There is one small dirt spot on the tip and few scratches when drawing out of the scabbard. No chips, Nicks or wares. The Temperline and Boshi are visible. The standard Shingunto length is 24 1/2'' to 26'' and this one is a high quality sword since this sword is special order and its length is longer than normal standard size.
